Who
are we
Hope Church is a "family" of people
from many different backgrounds, many different traditions, and many different
interests, who have come together to share worship, fellowship, service,
ministry, and spiritual growth.
We are a "family" of
traditional families, singles, widows and widowers, young, old, and in-between,
which embraces its members and friends in times of joy, sorrow, thanksgiving,
or need. It is no accident that one of the most important parts of our worship
is the time of sharing joys and concerns. Hope Church
cares!
Founded in 1956 as a congregation of
the United Church of Christ,
Hope is now an independent
congregation that takes the Bible and its message seriously. The Bible is our
key source for knowing God's will and is our central authority. Bible study is
central to our life together.
We believe in the centrality of Jesus Christ, the authority of scripture, and the awesome,
sometimes surprising work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
When you join us at Hope, you'll find a place of strong faith, of great
love and caring, of eager service in the world, and of fun-loving people.
